Dave's happened to be open on Saturday, and we were at Independence Square to vote. We finished and I got an idea. I had my mind on a cinnamon roll. I took my mom into Dave's, and I saw the Carmel pecan rolls. I also got a hot chocolate. They called our name immediately. I didn't say anything, but the rolls weren't warm. That's why 4 stars. My mom had an apple turnover. The inside of Dave's is bustling like an old time diner. They have a full breakfast and lunch menu. Service was fast and thankfully we got a table. I enjoyed it but would've enjoyed it more if it were warm.,

Small town diner with homemade sandwiches, cheesecake, and apple pie. Good if you are looking for something quick and simple. Great location being right on Independence Square. Nice area for strolling after you get done eating.

What a great little deli! Absolutely loved the varieties the my offer. Breakfast lunch and tons of wonder pastries made fresh. I grabbed a cookie and a chicken salad wrap with grapes. It was super fresh and tasty. The price pt was also good. I'll be coming back soon. They even had fresh scooped ice cream

It's hard to find a good sandwich in KC and this place does not disappoint. Having lived in Chicago makes me miss the deli experience. This has become my favorite spot, driving all the way from Midtown. I love the Club sandwich and they have a nice selection of donuts. Also burgers fries and malts.

This review is for the awesome lunch experience I had on Saturday-February 4th. ^__^ So, this doesn't happen to me very often lol, but I failed being prepared with some sort of meal-prep for my work day that day. When the time came, I decided to quick-search online what local sandwich shops were available not far from my work's location and discovered this cute, little place I've never heard of before. My first experience there I tried their corned beef sandwich with white bread, mayo, mustard, tomato and lettuce, and MAN-that was good! I honestly didn't know what to expect since it was a new place and all, but Gosh-that bread was ridiculously good! I will absolutely go there again in the near future to try more of their sandwiches and goodies! 0__0 Such an awesome experience being there was! Their wall decorations were fascinating and educational too! I had to photo some of their pieces for not only personal journal purposes, but to include in the review I wanted to make.
